Allison Anderson
Introduction of the new Will County Emergency Services Director

Allison Anderson has served as a career emergency manager since 2009.  During that time, she has held progressively responsible positions in public health emergency preparedness and all-hazards emergency management.  She currently manages a wide array of emergency management functions covering all phases of emergency management.  This includes developing emergency plans, managing exercises, and coordinating response and recovery efforts for major emergencies and disasters.  She routinely coordinates the efforts of agency staff, other County offices, and a wide range of public and private agencies and organizations to create a unified effort to protect and prepare Will County.  Her efforts include ensuring that the needs of individuals and populations with access and functional needs are addressed throughout all aspects of Will County’s emergency management programs.  

 

Allison earned a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Psychology and Sociology from Northern Illinois University.  She holds certifications as a Certified Emergency Manager from the International Association of Emergency Managers and Illinois Professional Emergency Manager from the Illinois Emergency Management Agency.
