Zones 25B-29 Institute October 18-22, 2023. OurZone Institute is a gathering of regional Rotary leadership from the Midwest and Texas who come together for Rotary and role specific education and training. This year the Institute will be in Evanston at Rotary International Headquarters and RI Director Pat Merryweather is asking for district Rotarians to help in several ways. Specifically, we need local Rotarians to serve as Greeters at O'Hare and Midway airports and to serve as Ambassadors in Evanston to help attendees get from local hotels to One Rotary Center, around One Rotary Center, and to our dinner venues during the 5 days. If you would like to rise to the opportunity to be a part of the 'Zone Experience' in these capacities, please contact PDG Osei David Andrews-Hutchinson at dg6450osei@gmail.com, who is serving as the Chair of the event. For more information, see the attached file.

Disaster Relief
"One of the most critical needs right now is food. Migrants in the shelters are being fed but there are no consistent meals for those at the police stations and the areas surrounding them. I just got off the phone with a friend who lives in the south loop who said that neighbors are encountering migrants who come to them and simply say "food.
ICDI is not equipped to hand out meals although we are distributing snack bags. What we can do is hand out McDonald's gift certificates at the police stations we are servicing. I will be collecting gift cards in denominations up to $10. When we have enough to give to all of the migrants at a station our case workers will distribute them."
Can we step up and find a way of getting these gift cards....soon. The person to contact is Pat Motto. patricia_motto@yahoo.com
