Pat Sullivan
Team-Building: From the Bench to the Boardroom

Speaker Pat Sullivan retired from USF in 2010 after 34 years of teaching and serving as head men's basketball coach. He accumulated more than 500 wins during his tenure. Sullivan has dedicated his career to not only coaching and educating students, but also inspiring young people and helping them to discover and capitalize on their personal strengths.

Sullivan, who has coached hundreds of students, wrote the book "Practical Guide for Leaders." He asserts that "being a leader is all about attitude" and expounds on the acronym ATTITUDE, with "a" for the acronym itself followed by "teamwork, toughness, intelligence, thank you, you, determination, and effort - is everything you need in order to lead people, not by words but by the inspiring way in which you conduct yourself and show up every day ready to listen, learn and grow."
A legend in Joliet, Mr. Sullivan is welcomed to Rotary.
