ROTARIANS, DO YOU KNOW...??
Joliet Rotarians created Michigan Beach for
swimming and recreation. It was located on
Rowell Avenue on Joliet's East side. To create the
beach, 30 train car loads of Lake Michigan sand
were used. It could have easily and correctly
have been named Rotary Beach!
