Outgoing D6450 Interact Chairman, and Incoming Governor Elect, Ade Onayemi, is seeking a Rotarian to take on the responsibility for the D6450 Interact Chairmanship. Your job will be to oversee the D6450 Interact program, ensure that Rotary International has current club and adviser contact information, as well as planning activities and leadership training events for D6450 Interact members. Reminder: Naperville Rotary Leading Computer Donation Drive The Rotary Club of Naperville is leading a collaboration with Comp-U-Dopt to collect used computers to be refurbished and distributed to families in the Chicago area that don’t have computers in their homes.
Naperville Rotary invites all District 6450 clubs to join in this collaboration. We are working with Comp-U-Dopt to collect used computers and any type of computer equipment, except for printers.

Reminder: D6450 Volunteer Opportunity - June 18th, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm Members of D6450 will undertake a “bed building” project in Tinley Park with the “Sleep in Heavenly Peace” organization on June 18th. No experience is needed for you to help out with the construction of beds. These beds are designed for 3-17 year olds who may be victims of fire, flooding, domestic abuse, or financial struggles.
“Bedlessness” is not a real word; but it is a real problem.

Joint Pollinator Resolution, June 20th Standby for more information on a Joint Pollinator Resolution, driven by RI’s Operation Pollination, on June 20th between Rotary Districts 6450 & 6440 & several National Heritage Areas.
According to RI’s national “Operation Pollination” coordinator, Chris Stein, a joint Pollinator Resolution between Rotary Districts 6450 and 6440, and incorporating three national Heritage Area efforts, including the Illinois & Michigan Canal National Heritage Area, the proposed Bronzeville-Black Metropolis National Heritage Area, and the proposed Calumet National Heritage Area is in the works for a signing on June 20th. Details are to be announced shortly.
