Dear Rotarians:

Responding to the Rotary Foundation's recognition of Supporting the Environment
as a 7th Area of Focus, District 6450 has established a District Environmental Committee.
Committee Chair Manon Lyketsos is looking for Rotarians and Rotaractors in our District
who would like to serve on the Committee. Check out the Instagram account that she has
set up: Instagram: @rotary6450protectingourplanet.

Manon's Message:
Calling all nature lovers! Our newest area of Rotary focus and District committee --
Environmental Awareness -- is looking for volunteer committee members. If you have
ideas for environmental programs, special skills you can share, or even just a love of
our planet, please contact Manon Lyketsos at nonlyketsos@gmail.com. Together, we
can make a plan, and most of all, make a difference!

The District has formed a Disaster Response Committee, headed by Chris Olson
of the Rotary Club of Aurora Sunrise. The Committee will help establish District
policy on responding to requests for assistance, whether monetary, for supplies,
or for hands-on help. They will also help prepare us to respond to disasters
within our District.

Chris welcomes Rotarians and Rotaractors with an interest in this area to join
the Committee so we are ready when disaster strikes, either close to home or
further away.
