NEWS Every Club in District 6450 Can Use

District News
  • District Conference 2024 - Join us Saturday April 20th for a joint district conference with District 6440 at One Rotary Center, home of Rotary International.  It will be a great day of amazing speakers, interesting breakouts, networking in the house of friendship, and a compelling service project.  Registration will be open in the next few days, so keep an eye out for the announcement.
  • District Learning Assembly - April 06, 2024 9am-noon. Get your team of incoming club officers together and come learn more about the various club positions in Rotary. Register Here
  • District Governor Rachel Ossyra Installation - Save the Date - June 23, 2024 5-8pm at the Barn at Blackberry Farm.  The event will include a pig roast and lots of fun things to do at Blackberry Farm, and of course there will be an district officer installation.  Registration will open by March 1st, so stay tuned.
  • Rotary Peace Fellowship - Rotary Peace Fellows are selected globally every year and applications are now open. Here is an explanation of the program - Announcement.  For more information about our district process for choosing applicants, please contact Bob Giles at
  • Rotary Means Business - Would you like to join a fun committee and network with Rotarians and non-Rotarians?  Joe Kosner from the Aurora United club is looking for 4-5 people who would like to help plan Rotary Means Business events in our District.  Contact Joe at if you're interested.

  • Mental Health Service Project Grant - In support of Rotary International President Gordon McInally's focus on mental health, District 6450 is offering grants for club projects involving mental health initiatives.  For more information and to apply click here - 2023-24 Mental Health Grant Application.

  • Support a CPS Student in Need! Loyola University Chicago School of Education is partnering with Impacks to offer an easy way for our community to support new Chicago Public School students.  Donations will provide critical school supplies for migrant students in need.  The deadline to donate is February 5th.  See the attached flyer for more information and to donate.
  • ​​​​​​​Bradley-Bourbonnais has come up with a great way to thank their speakers.  They are donating a book in their name to the Bradley Library.  If you would like to know more, contact president Julia Mullikin.
