Rotary District News

Comments from Governor Ade

Welcome to September! Basic Education and Literacy Month!

I invite you to visit the Learning Center, where you will experience social learning through sharing resources like links, presentations, and videos on different topics. You can share resources you created for training. Check out Learning Topics and learn more by taking the Getting Started with Learning Topics course.

By the way, if you are not registered on My Rotary, you are missing a significant benefit of Rotary membership, EDUCATION!

Welcome to our Interactors and Rotaractors who may have been away for the Summer.  We hope you are ready for a great Rotary year.  RI President Jones asks us to 'Imagine Rotary' by turning our dreams & aspirations into reality by fully partaking in the activities of Interact and Rotaract at home & globally.

You may start to prepare for World Interact Day (November 5th, 2022) and World Interact Week when we celebrate Interact's anniversary Nov. 5th - 13th. In addition, Interacts clubs should document their activities and submit a video to Rotary International on December 1st for the Interact Video Awards.

The Rotary Youth Exchange (RYE) is back!  Three students from District 6450 are outbound to Finland, Japan and Brazil for the academic year. Join me in giving a Birthplace of Rotary Welcome to our inbound students from Germany, Sweden and Brazil. Please extend invitations and engagement opportunities to the inbound students through the RYE Chair.  We are only able to make a "first impression" once.
