Dear Rotarians:

Start Planning for an Earth Day Project

District 6450 is joining Districts that surround the Great Lakes to plan
clean-up activities around Earth Day.

Earth Day is Thursday, April 22nd, but Clubs are invited to plan outdoor
clean-up events for any day that week, especially on Saturday, April 24th.
We hope to have hundreds of Rotarians from all of those Districts to be
out that day cleaning up areas in the Great Lakes Watershed.
For us, that means along Lake Michigan from the beaches in Rogers Park
in the north to South Shore and Rainbow beaches in the south.
Every Club can plan its own event. Please work with District Environmental
Committee chair Manon Lyketsos to coordinate and publicize your activities.

This can be a great way to get family members, friends, and folks who are
not yet Rotarians involved in an inexpensive hands-on activity.

Contact Manon for more information.

Manon Lyketsos
Vice President of the Rotary Club of Chicago Lakeview
Environmental Chair of Rotary District 6450
