Jaworski Leads 16th Annual Youth Leadership Conference

Under the leadership of Mary Jaworski, the 16th annual Youth Leadership Conference hosted 27 students from the three Joliet high schools.  Nine sophomores, nine juniors and nine seniors heard community leaders speak about a wide variety of leadership-focused topics in four sessions:
  • What is Leadership? - with Tom Thanas, Debbie Condotti, Ed Dollinger and JD Ross
  • Decision Making: with Judge Dinah Archambeault, Police Chief Mike Trafton, Ruth Colby and Ken Mihelich
  • Communications: with Scott Slocum, Lisa Lagger, John Quinn and Bonnie Winfrey 
  • Ethical Issues: with Jim Roolf, Dr. Charles Coleman, Tim Brophy and retired Judge Steve White

The Youth Leadership Conference began as the brainchild of Larry Johnson and was led by deceased Joliet Rotarian Sam Mancuso before Jaworski took the helm for the last 12 years.
