The Rotary Club of Joliet is now accepting applications for the Dr. Paul Morimoto Scholarship through November 30, 2021.
The Rotary Club of Joliet is awarding three scholarships worth $1,879.45 each to students from Joliet Junior College, University of St. Francis and/or Lewis University who are enrolled in a program related to a Healthcare Field of Study. Preference will be that one student from each of the above institutions receives a scholarship. The scholarships will be used for tuition only.
The scholarship application includes essay questions about volunteer activities, field of study, and college/career goals. In 1989, “Service Above Self” was established as the principal to of the Rotary International because it best conveys the philosophy of unselfish volunteer service. The student applications will be asked to describe how they incorporate “Service” into their everyday life and how they will apply “Service” to their field of study and future career.
Students who attend Joliet Junior College, University of St. Francis, and Lewis University in a Healthcare Field of Study are eligible to apply. The deadline for submission is Tuesday, November 30, 2021. (The application must be received on or before the submission date.) Transcripts must be emailed to Amanda Quinn, by November 30, 2021.
