Service opportunity!!

On the morning of Wednesday, Feb. 24, we will conduct our 2016 Rotary School Dictionary Project.  We can use all the help we can get.

There are 15 schools that need to be covered by a total of 25 presenters.  Please review the schedule recently sent to you via email and let Dan-- know where you would like to participate--preferences will be honored. Flexibility is best so all schools will be covered. Please note there are varying times, all in the A.M. Also, Spanish language skills are needed.

Contact Dan Mihelich at dan.mihelich@firstmidwest.com.  Your service on this day counts toward a meeting make-up.
Applications Being Accepted for 2016 Joliet Rotary Scholarships
The Rotary Club of Joliet is seeking scholarship applications from students attending Joliet high schools. These scholarships may be used for tuition only at any accredited college or university.  The scholarship application includes three essay questions about extracurricular and volunteer activities, college and career goals, and describing two influential people in the student’s life. Deadline Feb. 29th.

A total of six (6) scholarships each in the amount of $1,000 will be awarded to seniors graduating in 2016; two from each of:  Joliet Township High School Central Campus; Joliet Township High School West Campus; and Joliet Catholic Academy. These scholarships will be provided in the form of a check made payable to the institutions accepting the scholarship recipients into an accredited two or four year college or university and may be used for tuition only. Children and grandchildren of Joliet Rotary Club members are not eligible to be recipients of these scholarships.

Students wishing to apply for a Joliet Rotary Scholarship can obtain an application from their school counselors beginning February 1, 2016 and will be accepted through deadline February 29th. Completed scholarship applications may be delivered to the regular Rotary meeting, 12:15 pm on Tuesdays in the Private Dining Room at the Epic Buffet at Hollywood Casino, 777 Hollywood Boulevard, Joliet, Illinois 60436 or they can be mailed to:
