Midewin: Past Present and Future of our National Tallgrass Prairie

Penny Vanderhyden has been a volunteer at Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie for 13 years. You can find Penny in the Welcome Center greeting visitors, or out in the prairie monitoring butterfly populations. She is a Volunteer Ranger for the very popular Iron Bridge Trailhead Ranger Trailer program, and also helps coordinate Environmental Education Programs.​
